Hon’ble BJP National President, Sh Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a huge public rally today at  Thamarai Thidal, Masthanpatti (PandikovilRoad), Madurai in Tamil Nadu and called upon the public to give the Bharatiya Janata Party an opportunity to serve for the development of the state. He affirmed that the BJP will continue its alliance with AIADMK for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. A large number of people gathered in the rally. Tamil Nadu state BJP President Shri L. Murugan, BJP National General Secretary Shri C. T. Ravi and former union minister Shri Pon Radhakrishnan along with other senior leaders and state office bearers were present on the podium. When the BJP national chief arrived at the venue of the public meeting, he was greeted with slogans of ‘VetriVel, Veera Vel.” An ancient war cry, it denotes victory and valour with Lord Muruga’s ‘Vel.’

Earlier in the day, the BJP chief performed a ‘puja’ and sought God’s blessings at the Meenakshi temple in Madurai. After visiting the temple, Nadda chaired a meeting of the Tamil Nadu BJP Core Committee where he discussed the poll preparations with state level leaders of the party.

Shri Nadda also addressed social media volunteers and met with social elders and eminent personalities of the society. Shri Nadda also interacted with eminent personalities who joined the BJP in the near past. He said that I am confident that under the guidance of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji all these people will empower the party & serve the people of Tamil Nadu. Shri Nadda is on a three days visit to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This is the second time in January when the BJP President has visited poll-bound Tamil Nadu. He had earlier visited the southern state on January 14 to participate in the ‘Namma Ooru Pongal Vizha’ (our city Pongal festival) organised by BJP’s state unit. He will hold several organizational meetings and address a huge public rally in Puducherry tomorrow.

Shri Nadda said that I am overwhelmed to see the grandeur & cultural richness of Meenakshi Temple which has been at the core of our cultural & religious traditions since time immemorial. I am truly fortunate to receive the blessings at the Meenakshi Temple & prayed for the peace & prosperity of Tamil Nadu. The BJP President said, Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan was launched with a package of Rs.20 lakh crore, which showed the country to become economically self-reliant. The Prime Minister gave the mantra to convert pandemic into opportunity for the betterment of the country. One lakh crore rupees have been allocated for agricultural infrastructure reforms. Collateral free loan of Rs 3 lakh crore allocated for rejuvenation of MSMEs out of which nearly Rs.1.5 lakh crore has been released. Installments of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi Scheme were released and credit cards were given to more than 8 crore farmers.
