The National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Honourable Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda today addressed the first ‘Krishak Suraksha’ Gram Sabha at Jagdanandpur (Katwa) in Bardhaman, West Bengal, which marked the beginning of 40,000 similar Gram Sabha meetings which the Bharatiya Janata Party will organize in West Bengal before the State Assembly elections. After addressing the villagers, Shri Nadda started the ‘Ek Mutthi Chawal Sangharsh’ campaign by visiting all houses in Jagdanandpur village. Later in the afternoon he visited a farmer’s village and had lunch there.

Speaking at the Gram Sabha Shri Nadda said the kind of support the Bharatiya Janata Party has got in the ‘Ek Mutthi Chawal Sangrah’ campaign and the manner in which public in large numbers are giving their full support to the party, it has made one thing very clear that no force can now stop the Bharatiya Janata Party to form its government in West Bengal. It is certain that BJP will come to power in West Bengal. He also said the welfare, wellbeing and prosperity of farmers is the top priority of Bharatiya Janata Party.

By January 24, 2021, the Bharatiya Janata Party karyakartas will visit 40,000 Gram Sabhas across West Bengal under our ‘Ek Mutthi Chawal Sangharsh’ campaign where they will get alms of ‘ek mutthi chawal’ (one fistful of rice) and take pledge in the name of Goddess Durga to fight for the rights of farmers in West Bengal. From January 27 to 31, 2021 the Bharatiya Janata Party will organize ‘Krishak Bhoj’ in each and every gram sabha across West Bengal. The Bharatiya Janata Party karyakartas will also campaign against the atrocities and ill treatment being meted out to the farmers and help them come together under one platform to fight against injustice and for their rights and livelihood.

  • The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government which was in power due to the support of Mamata Banerjee had the Agriculture Budget of just Rs. 22,000 crore in 2013-14, while under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance government has raised the Agriculture Budget to a whooping Rs.1.34 lakh crores. The Swaminathan Commission report which favoured steep rise in Minimum Support Price (MSP) for various produce of farmers was also implemented by the Narendra Modi government.
  • When Mamata Banerjee is seeing that she is on the verge of losing badly in West Bengal and that people have already deserted her, she is now showing her fake concern for farmers and people. Now nothing is going to salvage her from this pathetic situation. I would like to tell Mamata Didi that the people of West Bengal have already made up their minds that they will bring the Bharatiya Janata Party to power with full majority.
  • Mamata Didi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has already started the ‘Krishok Surokkha’ campaign and that farmers do not see any hope in you. The Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government in West Bengal and we will implement all pro-farmer policies and initiatives including “PM Krishi Samman Nidhi” yojana in West Bengal to make their lives happier and prosperous.
  • The government of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal is the government of ‘Chawal (Rice) Chor’, ‘Tirpal Chor’, ‘Ration Chor’, ‘Koyla Chor’ and ‘Balu Chor’. TMC means Cut Money, Chawal Chor and Tirpal Chor. It is the most corrupt and incompetent government that West Bengal has ever seen.
  • When the relief money and aid meant for the victims of Amphan Cyclone did not reach the needy and affected people, the West Bengal High Court took the suo motu cognizance of the grave situation and ordered immediate audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) office. But to save her skin and to save people who had indulged in loot and massive corruption, Mamata Banerjee approached the Supreme Court to block the CAG audit.
  • On every issue Mamata Didi says ‘hobe na’, ‘hobe na’ (will not happen). But now the Bharatiya Janata Party is saying ‘hobe, hobe, hobe’ (government change will happen) in May. “Jai Maa Durga, Jai Maa Kali, Shesh Karo Eei Atyachari’.
  • Earlier Mamata Didi used to chant slogans of ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’; but her government has become an anarchist government, a government of appeasement and ‘tolabazi’. The situation has become so pathetic and worse in West Bengal that people are now forced to pay cut money for performing last rites of their near and dear ones.
  • These days there is discussion all around of a new Prince in West Bengal. The people of West Bengal know the kind of money this new Price has accumulated through corrupt and dubious ways. But this is not going to last long and will come to an end soon. The people of West Bengal will give a befitting reply to all these people who have ruined West Bengal and have made life hell for common man in West Bengal.
  • Today lakhs of farmers in West Bengal are getting benefited from e-Nam Mandi and Soil Health Cards schemes started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. On December 28, 2020 the Honourable Prime Minister flagged off 100th Kisan Rail which will run from Sangola in West Bengal to Shalimar in West Bengal.
  • The Bharatiya Janata Party government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had passed three progressive and reformist farm laws in Parliament which not only gives farmers freedom to sell their produce but also ensures that farmers get the right money for their farm produce. Now farmers, particularly small and marginal farmers with very less land holdings, can directly get into contract for all their produce which will ensure better value of their produce and make them prosperous.
  • On the average monthly income parameters the farmers of West Bengal comes in the 24th place among the 29 states. Irony is that there is no scarcity of water in West Bengal but more than 50 per cent of agricultural land in the state is not irrigated.
  • The Mamata Banerjee Government has deprived over 4.67 crore people of West Bengal from the benefits of Ayushman Bharat whereas more than 50 crore families across India are getting the medical and treatment benefits from the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
  • Mamata Didi you may have changed the names of schemes initiated by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, but how will you change the love and affection that the people of West Bengal have for their beloved Prime Minister. The people of West Bengal have strong bonding with the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. People of West Bengal know that Shri Modi ji has been making all efforts and working tirelessly for the growth and development of West Bengal and to make life good and prosperous for the people of the state.
  • During the Corona lockdown the Narendra Modi government had run special trains to ferry stranded people of West Bengal back to their homes, but Mamata Banerjee had termed these trains as ‘Corona Carriers’. Is this the kind of care and love Mamata Banerjee has for the people of West Bengal?
  • If the people of West Bengal want to end the culture of cut money in the state, if they want to end corruption and anarchy and take the state on the path of growth and development, if the welfare, wellbeing and rights of farmers are to be ensured, then the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress government has to be send packing. The people of West Bengal will have to give a chance to the Bharatiya Janata Party to rule West Bengal to ensure all round growth and development of the state.
