BJP NATIONAL PRESIDENT SHRI JAGAT PRAKASH NADDA TODAY OFFERED FLORAL TRIBUTES TO THE FATHER OF THE NATION MAHATMA GANDHI JI ON HIS BIRTH ANNIVERSARY . HE ALSO BOUGHT SOME ITEMS FROM KHADI INDIA IN CONNAUGHT PLACE IN NEW DELHI AND URGED PEOPLE TO USE KHADI ITEMS IN THEIR DAILY LIFE

  On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Honourable Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi who is revered and admired across the global as the apostle of peace, non-violence and brotherhood , the Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda today visited the Khadi India showroom in Connaught Place in New Delhi where he paid floral tributes on the status of Mahatma Gandhi ji and paid him rich tributes .

Shri Nadda was accompanied by the Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary Shri Dushyant Gautam ji , the BJP National Media Head and MP Shri Anil Baluni ji and officials of the Khadi India and other dignitaries . Shri Nadda and others wished the nation on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister and great leader Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji .

Speaking on the occasion , the Bharatiya Janata Party National President urged the party workers and people to buy Khadi clothes and Khadi India products to promote and strengthen the movement of Gram Swaraj and Atmanirbhar Bharat propagated by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji . Shri Nadda also bought Khadi clothes and items from Khadi India . He also showed keen interest in all the products of Khadi India and inquired about the products and various Khadi India initiatives .

Shri Nadda said Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji through his appeal and initiatives of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat ‘ and ‘ Vocal for Local ‘ has given a new lease of life to the Khadi industry which was very close to the life of Mahatma Gandhi ji . He appealed to all the citizens to give their valuable contributions in promoting and strengthening the Khadi industry in the country and abroad . Shri Nadda ji made digital payment for the articles he bought from Khadi India , which also showcases our nation’s journey from Gram Swaraj to Digital India .

Talking to the media on the occasion the Bharatiya Janata Party National President said since Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji became the Prime Minister the use of Khadi clothes and Khadi products has increased by over 188 % in the country . The Honourable Prime Minister has strengthened Mahatma Gandhi’s Self-reliant , Gram Swaraj and Atmanirbhar Bharat movements to take Khadi to a new height in the country which has played a major role in reviving the Khadi industry in the country . 

Shri Nadda said despite the country facing the Corona pandemic the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has spent Rs. 96,000 crore for the development , growth and promotion of the Khadi Gram Udyog industry in 2020- 21. The Honourable Prime Minister is committed towards the fast growth and development of the Khadi industry in the country and is working very dedicatedly in making that happen . Since Shri Narendra Modi ji became the Prime Minister , the production of Khadi industry has grown by over 101 % and the sale of Khadi industry has shot up by 129 % .

The BJP National President further said by attracting the youth towards the Start -up industry the government has made an investment of Rs. 2,500 crore which has led to generation of around 6 lakh new jobs in the country . To realise Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of making a neat and clean India , the Narendra Modi government has so far constructed over 11 crore toilets across the country under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan .

Paying his rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi ji , Shri Madda said the contribution of Honourable Bapu in getting us freedom is unmatched and incomparable .  Honourable Bapu had dreamt of a free and strong India by following the principles and ideologies of Gram Swaraj , Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swachh Bharat , and all these goals and dreams are being fulfilled under the dynamic and decisive leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi  ji .

The Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji also paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister and great leader Shri Lal Bahadur Shashtri ji on his birth anniversary . He said we all know that Honourable Shri Lal Bahadur Shahstri ji was a great leader who was very polite but was known for his courageous and bold decisions . Though his Prime Ministership was for a very short duration , but in a very short span of his rule he united the nation and brought all the citizens together by giving his clarion call and the ‘mantra ‘ of ‘Jai Jawan – Jai Kisan ‘ , which knows the exemplary qualities of the great leader .

Exorting the party leaders and the people to follow the ideals and path shown by the great leaders , Shri Nadda said we should all emulate the qualities of our great leaders and dedicate ourselves to the nation – building and contributing to the growth and development of our country . We should also promote the products of Khadi Gram Udyog and give push to the initiatives of Gram Swaraj , Atmanirbhar Bharat and Swachh Bharat ; it will be our real tribute and respect to our departed leaders . Shri Nadda said today the people of our country and the BJP workers are getting inspired by the initiatives of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and are playing a key role in promoting and supporting nation – building initiatives and programmes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and buying Make in India products and also Khadi products .
