Press statement issued by Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda on the historic address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations

The address of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who is also the most loved popular leader in the world, at the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations today is the address of a true statesman in its true sense. His impressive address is a matter of great pride and honour for the 130 crore Indians. I congratulate our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for his emphatic speech which has made our nation proud and has also established India’s ideological supremacy at a very important global platform.

Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has forcefully and empathetically put India’s viewpoint and made the world aware about the issues of global concern, and I sincerely thank and congratulate our Prime Minister for this. Shri Narendra Modi ji raised several key issues which include Covid management and Covid vaccine, global terrorism, maritime borders and exhorted the international leadership to address these issues unitedly and urgently, it is a welcome step. He also paid tributes to all those who lost their lives due to Coronavirus disease.

Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji told the world from the UN platform that India has come a long way from ‘Democracy can deliver’ to ‘Democracy has delivered’. He introduced to the world the philosophy and ideals of Integral humanism (Ekaatm Manavaad) and ‘Antyodaya’ of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji and told the world that how in the last seven years has followed this and also followed the democratic principles to achieve his government’s goal of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,  Sabka Vishwas’. He also showed the world how his government has successfully addressed economic and social development issues. Coincidentally, today is Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji’s birth anniversary.

Giving a snapshot of India’s prowess and capabilities, the Honourable Prime Minister said when India develops, the whole world develops, and when India successfully implements its social and economic reforms, the whole world transforms. This also proves how India has led the world in the past seven years.

On the issue of global terrorism, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji showed the mirror to the world. He also warned countries against using it as a tool, giving nations sponsoring terrorism a clear message. Honourable Prime Minister categorically stated that the land of Afghanistan should not be used to fuel global terrorism. He once again reiterated India’s commitment for help and support towards the common people, women and children and minorities of Afghanistan.

Also, for the first time, India emphatically raised the issue of maritime maritime security. Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji pointed out the lackadaisical attitude of the United Nations in addressing the issue of the origin of Coronavirus and also ease of doing business and asked to take concrete steps on these important issues.

The powerful address by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji clearly reflects the impressive growth story of India – be it the highly successful Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan or Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana, or balance between economy and ecology, or inviting countries to manufacture vaccine in India, or efforts India is making in developing green, alternative sources of energy. All these speak volumes about India’s prowess and strength under Shri Narendra Modi ji.

Today, the world carefully listens to our Honourable Prime Minister and follows his advice and suggestions. This once again proves how India has emerged as a major power in the global arena under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Our Honourable Prime Minister has one goal and that is to once again establish India as a powerful, developed and self reliant nation – a Vishwaguru.

I once again thank Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for his magnificent address at the UN General Assembly where he guided the world and highlighted India’s strengths and achievements.
