The Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a historic and resounding victory in the local bodies elections in Tripura. For this magnificent electoral success I congratulate Tripura Chief Minister Shri Biplab Kumar Dev, the BJP state unit president Dr Manik Saha and all the party office bearers and workers. I also thank and congratulate the people of Tripura for this massive victory.

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic win in Tripura local bodies elections is the outcome of the poor people, pro poor policies and development oriented vision of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, it is the victory of the BJP’s double engine government and its commitment towards the growth, progress and development of Tripura and its people. The BJP’ victory is also the proof of the love and trust of the people of Tripura towards the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is the victory of democracy and it is also the victory of the people of Tripura.

For Independence it is for the first time that the BJP’s double engine government has been formed in Tripura under the guidance and leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Today the love and affection of people of Tripura towards the BJP and its programmes and policies is clearly visible. This resounding electoral success is also the proof of the people’s trust and belief towards the pro people , social and economic welfare policies of the BJP government led by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

In the results of Tripura local bodies elections declared today, the Bharatiya Janata Party has won 329 wards out of 334 wards, out of which 112 wards BJP won without any contest. Opposition parties could win on 5 seats. In almost all Nagar Nigams and Nagar Palikas the Bharatiya Janata Party has registered 100% success, which is unprecedented and historic.

The Bharatiya Janata Party government under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the BJP governments in the state are highly committed towards welfare and upliftment of poorest of the poor. The people of the country wants growth, progress and development, and therefore it has been consistently rejecting negative and destructive politics of the Opposition parties. The historic and record- breaking victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Tripura local bodies elections is the victory of nationalist forces, it is the victory of progressive forces, it is the victory of the BJP’s development -oriented policies and programmes. Similarly, the victory of the BJP is also a tight slap on the faces of Opposition parties who are doing divisive and destructive politics, it is the humiliating loss of the parties fanning communal passions, hatred and violence, it is the loss of political forces who have insulted the people of Tripura and its rich culture and traditions.

Every section of the society, particularly those belonging to poor, Dalits, backwards and oppressed sections of the society have open-heartedly praised, welcomes and supported development -oriented, progressive and pro poor government of the Bharatiya Janata Party government under the decisive and dynamic leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Time and again the people of India have given their strong approval to the BJP governments across the country which is focused only on fast development, growth and prosperity of the nation. Today’s victory once again proves that the people of Tripura have once again committed themselves towards the journey of growth and progress that India is undertaking under the leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.

Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has given a new dimension, a new direction to the entire growth story of the entire North East. The Prime Minister has not only brought all the people of the North East under one umbrella and brought them in the national mainstream, he has also succeeded in ending terror, violence and continuous blockades that had hit the entire North East very hard and obstructed its growth and progress . Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has once again out the entire North East in the fast track of progress, growth and development.
