Date: 04/02/2021

BJP under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, will end the rule of corruption and nepotism in Kerala and take the ‘God’s Own Country’ to the newer heights of growth, development, progress and prosperity.

********************

Both the Congress-led UDF and the CPI-M led LDF are ideologically bankrupt. Both are the same side of the coin as during their rule, they have indulged in massive scams and corruption and have looted money meant for the welfare and wellbeing of the common man.

********************

The time has come for the people of Kerala to make the correct and right choice of electing the BJP. I can say that since 2016 and till 2021, I see a sea change in popularity and following of the BJP. There is immense enthusiasm among people of Kerala for BJP.

********************

It is the leaders who make the difference. The Honourable Prime Minister thinks and is concerned only about the welfare and wellbeing of people.

********************

Kerala has been ruined by the UDF and LDF who have given governments known for rampant corruption. While one Chief Minister’s love for gold is well known another Chief Minister has earned ‘fame’ for solar energy projects.

********************

In Kerala the Constitutional authorities are being threatened and attacked as we recently witnessed with the CAG in which the Assembly Speaker played a very negative role and tarnished the image of his office.

********************

In Kerala in the ensuing elections we will see LDF and UDF fighting against each other but when it comes to West Bengal you will see that Congress and the Left Parties will join hands against the BJP. It shows their utter ideological bankruptcy.

********************

The LDF govt also mismanaged Covid cases as we see rapid rise in Corona cases. India today has the highest recovery rate and lowest incidence and mortality rate but it is just opposite in Kerala due to incompetence of the state government.

********************

People of Kerala will also not forgive the Congress for not taking any stand on Sabarimala issue and even Rahul Gandhi did not utter a word, who is now trying to fool people by saying that they will bring resolution.

********************

The BJP-led NDA Government has always given special focus and attention to the growth and development of Kerala. Under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Kerala is taking fast strides towards prosperity and development.

********************

All these new mega projects worth thousands of crores along with the recent development push in the Union Budget for Kerala speaks volumes about the care and attachment that PM Shri Narendra Modi ji has for Kerala.

********************

Hon’ble Prime Minister is also a stellar example of how leaders make a big difference. Right person at the right place can bring about major changes, but a wrong leader is detrimental for growth, progress and development.

********************

During the Congress-led UPA government during the 13th Finance Commission, Kerala used to get Rs. 44,000 crore from the Centre, but under the Narendra Modi govt, this amount has gone up to Rs. 2 lakh crore.

********************

Kerala also has been a major beneficiary of all the ambitious social sector schemes started by the Honourable Prime Minister.

********************

The Modi government also started Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the world’s largest health coverage programme including 50 crore people across India covering 40 per cent of the country’s population, which is the combined population of America, Canada and Mexico.

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda today addressed a huge public rally at Vadakkunnathan Temple Ground, Thrissur in Kerala and he appealed to the people of Kerala to elect the BJP in the state and uproot both the Congress led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Communist Party of India -Marxist (CPI-M) led Left Democratic Front (LDF) from the state. The ground was flooded with saffron flags of BJP.

Sh Nadda said it was high time that both the LDF and the UDF should be given rest in Kerala and the people of Kerala should give work to the BJP in the state. BJP under the leadership and guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will end the rule of corruption and nepotism in Kerala and take the ‘God’s Own Country’ to the newer heights of growth, development, progress and prosperity.

The BJP National President said both the Congress-led UDF and the CPI-M led LDF are ideologically bankrupt. Both the Congress and the Left parties are the same side of the coin as during their rule, they have indulged in massive scams and corruption and have looted money meant for the welfare and wellbeing of the common man. Both the LDF and the UDF are corrupt, non-performing and incompetent whose only agenda is to loot public money and take Kerala backward. They are greedy for power and their only motive and aim to grab power. The time has come for the people of Kerala to make the correct and right choice of electing the BJP. I know that the politically aware and intelligent people of Kerala will not miss the golden opportunity in the ensuing assembly elections in the state.

Earlier the BJP National President was given a rousing welcome at the rally venue. Shri Nadda said he was blessed to be in the ‘God’s Own Country’. Mr Nadda said he seeks blessings of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Guruvayur Temple, Sabarimala Temple, Vadakkunnathan Temple and Adi Shankaracharya.  He is also blessed to be in the holy land of Kailash of South India.

The BJP National President said the huge gathering at the public meeting venue gives us clear indications that the politics of Kerala is going to change soon. The enthusiasm and affection I see for the BJP in Kerala I am certain that the party will do very well in the state. I had addressed a public meeting in 2016 and now I am here again. I can say that since 2016 and till 2021, I see a sea change in popularity and following of the BJP. There is immense enthusiasm among people of Kerala for BJP and I can confidently say that in the coming times we will see a change in the polity of Kerala.

The BJP-led NDA Government has always given special focus and attention to the growth and development of Kerala. Under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Kerala is taking fast strides towards prosperity and development. It was under the Narendra Modi Government, who conceived the ambitious Digital India project, that India’s first Digital District came up in Kerala.

Similarly the ambitious ‘One Nation, One Grid’ scheme was conceived and its development also started from Kerala. The first 450 km natural gas pipeline was laid in Kerala with an expenditure of around Rs. 3000 crores. Another major investment in Kerala by the Narendra Modi government comes in the form of Rs 16,000 crore being spent on modernisation and expansion of the Bharat Petroleum Company Limited (BPCL)’s refinery in Kochi in Kerala. The Narendra Modi government has done major investments and development in the petroleum sector in Kerala. Similarly, the Honourable Prime Minister has laid special emphasis on the infrastructure development in Kerala. We have seen major change in the development of national highways in Kerala. In recent past six mega projects have been sanctioned and commenced in Kerala with an investment of Rs. 12000 crore which includes six-laning of  many highways including Azhiyur-Vengalam section and also construction of Kozhikode bypass and many important new bridges on the highways in the state.

In Kerala, 119 port roads are being constructed under the Bharatmala and Sagarmala projects while an economic corridor is coming up between Mumbai and Kanyakumari at a cost of whopping Rs. 50,000 crore. For the Cochin shipyard the Narendra Modi government has sanctioned additional Rs. 3400 crore while Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi has been awarded the status of ‘Solar City’ which will attract big investments and also generate employment. Similarly under the dynamic and decisive leadership of Honourable Prime Minister 17 Food Parks are coming up in Kerala.

All these new mega projects worth thousands of crores along with the recent development push in the Union Budget for Kerala speaks volumes about the care and attachment that Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has for Kerala. He is ensuring fast mainstreaming of Kerala and this only a dynamic and visionary leader can achieve.

Honourable Prime Minister is also a stellar example of how leaders make a big difference. Right person at the right place can bring about major changes, but a wrong leader is detrimental for growth, progress and development. And this is now being understood by the intelligent people of Kerala.

The Honourable Prime Minister has taken special care of Kerala. During the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre during the 13th Finance Commission Kerala used to get Rs. 44,000 crore from the Centre, but under the Narendra Modi government this amount has gone up several times and now Kerala in the next five year under the 14 Finance Commission will get Rs. 2 lakh crore for the socio-economic development of Kerala.

Kerala also has been a major beneficiary of all the ambitious social sector schemes started by the Honourable Prime Minister. One such scheme is the Jan Dhan Yojna. In 1971-72 when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister much talked about nationalisation of banks took place in the country, but this could lead to only opening of less than 3 crore bank accounts till 2014. But Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji launched the Jan Dhan Yojna to ensure banking facilities to poor sections of the society and asked banks to open zero balance bank accounts.  Today India has over 40 crore Jan Dhan accounts, of which 47 lakhs were opened in Kerala, giving poor, weaker and deprived sections of the society financial empowerment. It has made a huge difference across the country. During the Corona pandemic the Narendra Modi government transferred Rs.500 for three months to 20 crore women across India directly into their Jan Dhan accounts. This led to women empowerment who could sustain their families during the difficult times of the pandemic. It also showed to the world that Digital India is working excellently.

Under the Ujjwala Yojna scheme 8 crore free cooking gas connections were given to women, which includes 2.5 lakh connections in Kerala thus leading to women empowerment. The Narendra Modi government distributed 36 crore LED bulbs across India of which 1.54 lakhs LED bulbs were distributed in Kerala.  Under the Swachh Bharat Mission over 11 crore toilets were constructed across India of which 12 lakh toilets were constructed in Kerala thus making the state open defecation free (ODF). Which means that 12 lakh homes in Kerala were without toilets before 2014 due to which women and children had to face major problems, but now they can live their lives with honour and dignity. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme 2 crore farmers were benefitted across India of which 37 lakh farmers across Kerala got Rs 6000 per year which provided them relief during the Corona crisis.

The Narendra Modi government also started Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the world’s largest health coverage programme including 50 crore people across India covering 40 per cent of the country’s population, which is the combined population of America, Canada and Mexico. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojna which provides Rs 5 lakh as annual health benefit more than 1.5 crore people have been benefited with the Narendra Modi government spending Rs. 70 crore on their healthcare. And the beneficiaries of this ambitious scheme are common people like drivers, maids, helpers, ragpickers and guards. This is how the Honourable Prime Minister has empowered the common man.

I would like to share the example of how leaders can make a change in the country and society. When the tragic stampede accident took place in Sabarimala in 2011 the then Prime Minister had no time to visit the state to console people and provide relief. But when the fire accident took place at Puttingal Temple in Paravur, Kollam in 2016 Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi was at the hospital within three hours and he deputed me as Union Health Minister for a week to supervise relief work. That is the human angle of our Honourable Prime Minister. Modi ji also carried several rescue operations overseas which involved people of Kerala, which include the rescue of 46 nurses from Kerala from the clutches of ISIS in Iraq.

It is the leaders who make the difference. The Honourable Prime Minister thinks and is concerned only about the welfare and wellbeing of people. Another example of it is the 137 per cent jump to Rs 64000 crore, another Rs 35000 for Covid medication and relief and Rs 2.87 lakh crore for providing clean water to the people in the health budget in the Union Budget. He also ensured relief of women tea garden workers in the Budget. He has taken special care for Kerala in the Budget as the state has got Rs 67000 crore for national highways and more funds for the phase two of the Kochi metro rail project.

Kerala has been ruined by the UDF and LDF who have given governments known for rampant corruption. While one Chief Minister’s love for gold is well known another Chief Minister has earned ‘fame’ for solar energy projects. One common thing in the corruption cases of both the Chief Minister is the shadow of women in their corruption cases and sex scandals happening the state. Both the Chief Ministers have maligned the state name and image. In the gold smuggling scam the Chief Minister called for investigation from the central agency and when the fire of scam reached his doorsteps he started calling it witch hunt. In Kerala the Constitutional authorities are being threatened and attacked as we recently witnessed with the CAG in which the Assembly Speaker played a very negative role and tarnished the image of his office.

The Left combine of LDF and the Congress UDF both are facing ideological bankruptcy. In Kerala in the ensuing elections we will see LDF and UDF fighting against each other, Congress and Left parties contesting against each other. But when it comes to West Bengal you will see that Congress and the Left Parties will join hands against the BJP. It shows utter ideological bankruptcy in both the Congress and the Left parties. They do not have any ideology. Their only ideology is to grab power. They are hungry for power. You will also see that in Kerala too where BJP will do well the Congress and UDF will join hands to defeat BJP, but I know intelligent people of Kerala will not let this happen.

The LDF govt also mismanaged Covid cases as we see rapid rise in Corona cases  in Kerala while it is going down across India. India today has the highest recovery rate and lowest incidence and mortality rate but it is just opposite in Kerala due to incompetence of the state government.

People of Kerala will also not forgive the Congress for not taking any stand on Sabarimala issue and even Rahul Gandhi did not utter a word, who is now trying to fool people by saying that they will bring resolution. Congress is now shedding crocodile tears. But the BJP’s stand has been clear and consistent on the issue and it was the BJP workers who fought on the issue.
