Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has always given importance and priority to women issues and has taken many initiatives to ensure women empowerment. In its seven year of rule the Narendra Modi government has taken several steps and introduced various revolutionary policies and important programmes to ensure women’ s welfare and progress.

*****************

It is because of the Narendra Modi government that today we are talking ahead of ‘women’s growth and welfare’ and moving towards development under the leadership of women folk. We are striving haed to make our women folk literate, strong, self reliant, independent and progressive.

*****************

The Bharatiya Janata Party has given most importance to women power in the area of policy, programme, administration and governance. No previous governments had done so much for the women folk like the Narendra Modi government. As the Bharatiya Janata Party worker and as the party’s National President, I bow in front of our women power and pay my respect and honour to them.

*****************

During the Corona pandemic the BJP Mahila Morcha workers came forward in large numbers and helped in social work. They led in helping  the needy and sick and also helped the society in whichever way they can. I congratulate and thank the BJP Mahila Morcha workers for setting excellent examples in serving the society and thr country.

*****************

In the Union Cabinet led by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji the number of women ministers is 12, which is a record. It is the Bharatiya Janata Party government which has appointed maximum number of women as Governors. In the past seven years the Narendra Modi government has given most important ministries to women which includes Defence, Finance, Foreign Affairs and Education.

*****************

It is the Narendra Modi government which amended the POSCO Act to make provision of capital punishment for culprits of rape of girl child below 12 years of age. Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji also saved the Muslim women from the clutches of Triple Talak. He also gave women folks life of honour and dignity by implementing revolutionary schemes like the Ujjawala Yojna and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, thus writing a new chapter of women empowerment in the country.

*****************

The Narendra Modi government has created a new division in the Union Home Ministry to look into safety and security issues of women in the country. Every police station across the country today has Women Helpdesk and every district today has anti trafficking cell. Similarly, panic buttons and GPS have been made mandatory in cabs and public transport.

*****************

From the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padao Abhiyan’ has brought a major change in our society as we see that now girl child are getting good care, they are now safe and secure and are also taking keen interest in their studies. This has also led to improvement in our girl child sex ratio and also made school dropout of girl child better. Under the Stand-Up Yojna around 1 lakh women have got Rs 21,000 to start their own enterprise.

*****************

Under the Jan Dhan Yojna so far over 43 crore bank accounts have been opened across the country out of which 23 crore are of women.  During the Corona pandemic the Narendra Modi government gave three instalments of Rs 500 each or Rs 1500 to all Mahila Jan Dhan account holders across the country.

*****************

During the Corona pandemic not a single women was there in the country who could not feed her children during the difficult time, as the Narendra Modi government made arrangements and distributed free rations to over 80 crore people across the country. The maximum benefit of ‘One Nation – One Ration Card’ Scheme is being availed by poor women across all states.

*****************

There is no point talking about the Opposition parties as it is futile exercise, but I want to say that political experts and social scientists should do a comparative study between the BJP government and other governments and should tell the world how our society has changed and progressed since the formation of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

****************

In the Bharatiya Janata Party ruled states there is no mercy or leniency for criminal elements, whereas in states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra and West Bengal where Opposition parties are in power massive injustice and crimes are taking place against women  and the states governments are least bothered in protecting women.

*****************

The BJP Mahila Morcha workers should take inspiration from the life of Rajmata Honourable Smt Vijaya Raje Scindia and follow the path shown by her. We should all inspire and exhort women to work in the social and political fields so that their participation and contribution in the social, economic and political sphere can increase rapidly.

*****************

The Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre under the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has initiated several programmes and policies for the empowerment, welfare and wellbeing of women across India. The BJP Mahila Morcha needs to take all these  programmes and policies to everyone household across states and highlight how the Narendra Modi government was doing exceptional work for the welfare of women particularly those living in rural and semi urban areas and also women belonging to poor and backward sections of the society.

*****************

The BJP Mahila Morcha should also regularly organise special programmes and events on women education and health issues. Female foeticide, dowry, domestic violence are some of the key issues where the BJP Mahila Morcha needs to work proactively with full dedication and commitment.

*****************

The BJP Mahila Morcha has now taken the Poshan Abhiyan in its hands and we have to make it highly successful. The BJP Mahila Morcha should also increase its interaction with Women Self-help groups and other women organisations and for this we need to regularly organise programmes and events across India.
