Salient points of the address given by Bharatiya Janata Party, National President, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda at a public meeting in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh

Recently, elections were held in four states and in West Bengal, four phases of voting have been done. People have voted in huge numbers for Bharatiya Janata Party. We are confident of retaining Assam and Tamil Nadu, and form NDA government in Puducherry and a government in West Bengal as well. We will perform well in Kerala.

In all these states, we are performing well because under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have taken care of the people who have been left behind, the poor, women, youth and  have ensured social welfare of all sections of the society.

The government of India, under the leadership of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has brought a sea change in the lives of the women, poor, farmers, youths and the backward sections of the society who are below poverty line.

Rs. 3 lakh crore have been sanctioned for various projects by various central ministers in the last three years for Andhra Pradesh. Several premier institutions have also come up in the state. Schemes brought by the government of India have witnessed a sea change in empowerment of youth, women and the  below poverty line. From Ujala, Ujjwala to Ayushman Bharat, all sections have been taken care of.

The YCP government has proved to be a government deep in corruption. It is a government of mis-governance and nepotism. There have been continuous and unabated attacks on Hindu temples and the culprits have not been caught. Over 115 incidents have taken place, but the govt has never been proactive.

It is astonishing to note that state-sponsored conversions are going on continuously. On the name of secularism, the support for some specific religious institutions are being provided by the state government, which is unheard and against the basic ethos of the Constitution. I am surprised to know that salaries are being paid in Andhra Pradesh to religious leaders of a particular religion and support is being given financially.

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas, Sabka Vishwaas. Our motto is appeasement to none and justice to all.

We will free the religious organisations and institutions from control of the state government and will see to it that a board is constituted where religious leaders take over these institutions and see to it that independent development takes place.

There’s rampant corruption in liquor, sand, land, roads, and ports. Every sector is full of govt-sponsored corruption. Andhra Pradesh’s debts have reached Rs 4 lakh crore and it is being spent on freebies and unproductive work. We oppose this move and we will see to it that when we come to power, a progressive government and good administration takes place. We have to fight this corruption and bad governance.

When we talk about the area of Rayalaseema, which was once ruled by the legendary King Krishna Dev Raya. It was said to be. Aland of precious stones, but today this area has been neglected totally. It has become a land only of stones and not precious stones.

You have seen the governments of TDP and the YCP. This area has been ignored. But now, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will bring a change in Andhra Pradesh in coming times.
